Exporium is a Web-based platform that helps connect producers and buyers of high quality agrifood and beverage products that reside in different countries. We want to reduce the barriers between producers and buyers and help decrease food waste.

When and how was Exporium born?
Exporium is a project that came to life between London, Rome, Naples, Frankfurt and Madrid in 2018. One of our co-founders was talking with a food producer in Southern Italy and was listening to his frustration in trying and exporting abroad. He decided to try and help him to export to the UK but the experience was terrible and everything that needed to be done was expensive. That’s when he came up with the idea to utilize the technology to create a marketplace where producers and buyers could meet online.

Why should I negotiate through Exporium directly?
Negotiating through Exporium helps guarantee that you are protected under our Terms and conditions. Additionally, it makes it easy to find and reference important trade details like a contact’s address, your trade history, delivery details, and other useful information. We cannot provide these benefits if you agree a trade is not close through Exporium.
Negotiating outside of Exporium also makes it harder for us to protect your information and puts you at greater risk of fraud and other security issues, such as phishing.

Who can join Exporium?
If you are a producer or a buyer of agri-food products in Europe, this is the right place for you. We are building a network of screened market participants in the food and beverage world to make connections and transactions easier and quicker. Every user on Exporium needs to be at least 18 years old (or has reached the age of majority in the country in which they reside).

What documents do I need to provide to start trading on Exporium?
You will need the following documents to
- Proof of identity: national ID card / passport of the company legal representative
- Proof of registration: recent (max. 3 months) company register extract / official proof of registration
- Articles of association: certified articles of association / bylaws / statute
- Furthermore, for every shareholder (ex: shareholders with more than 25% of capital, subject with voting rights, etc.):
- Full name
- Full address (route, street number, city, region, postal code and country)
- Nationality
- Date and place of birth (city and country)

How much will I pay to use Exporium?

How it works. If you are a seller, there is a free subscription that you can use to start getting to know us before upgrading to a new subscription, if you want. If you are a buyer, you can join for free. Exporium will take a fee for each transaction that you complete, that will vary based on your subscription tier.

How long does it take to open an account?
When you register, your account is created immediately. In order to complete the verification of the documents and the on-boarding, time frames vary depending on the documents that we receive. We aim to open a new account within 24-48 hours.

Which document will I need to open an account?
We will be able to verify your identity by checking most European national identity cards, international driving licenses and passports. We will verify your company through a proof of registration and a copy of the articles of association.

Which products can I find on Exporium?
Exporium is a European marketplace so you will be able to find agri-food products from Europe. However, for now, you will find mainly Italian agri-food products on Exporium and we will expand the product pool in the future.

What methods of payment does Exporium accept?
We support different payment methods, depending on the country you are based in. You can pay with the major debit and credit cards and, in some countries, you can use specific payment methods:

In which currency can I pay my subscription?
At the moment, we only accept EUR to pay for the subscription. Please, consider that your bank might charge you some conversion fees to make the payment in Euro, if your currency is different.

How can I change or reset my password?
If you have lost your password and want to reset it, you can go on and select Recover password. You can then insert your email address and we will send you a link to reset your password.
If you want to change your password, log in onto your Exporium Account and then go to your profile and in the Account tab, you can update your password.

How can I modify my account profile and settings?
You can change the information on your account by logging into your profile and going into the Profile sections. There, you will be able to change most of the information about yourself or your company and update your personal picture. For some crucial information, you will have to send us an email at

How can I delete my Exporium account?
Should you wish to leave us permanently and delete your Exporium account, please contact us.
When you ask us to delete your account:
- Before we accept your deletion request, for security purposes Exporium will verify your identity.
- Any trade you might be currently working on will be automatically deleted.
- Once we receive your request, we will crack on and start working on your cancellation , however some of your data might stay in our system if we are required or permitted by law to retain it.
- Some of your messages, reviews and potentially other information may still be available on our website.
If your account is permanently deleted, you will not be able to reactivate it, recover any data or regain access. If you want to start using Exporium again, you will have to set up a new account.

Why do I need to have an Exporium account?
Whether you are a producer or a buyer, an Exporium account is an opportunity for your potential counterparties to get to know you before they decide to contact you. When you have a strong profile, other people will feel you are reliable and the more complete your profile is, the higher the chance that you will receive requests for trades.
We require all participants to upload a photo, so you can see who you are dealing with.
Some features of a strong profile could be:
- A verified profile
- At least one profile photo that shows your face
- If you are a producer, certificates that testify the quality of your products
- If you are a seller, show more photos of your products
- If you are a buyer, show what your selling areas are
If you want to see a person’s profile, you can just click on their profile photo.

Finding partners at Exporium
How can I find partners and connect with other users?
You can find and contact producers of agri-food products and potentially interested buyers via our marketplace page. You can look for the product category you are interested in and find the right partner for you. To connect with other users, just start trading. Find out more about trading on Exporium

How to trade on Exporium?
- First, you need to register and complete your profile.
- After the verification process is completed, you can login and start using the platform.
- You can search for potential business partners on Marketplace.
- You can find details about them and their products by clicking on their profile and in the product details.
- You can then start negotiating by clicking on Add to Cart. The other party has 72 hours to react to your offer, and there are three rounds of negotiation.
- Once you agree on the price, you will both agree on the delivery and payment method.
- After that, every step should be confirmed on the platform by the trade parties.

How is shipping handled?
This will depend on the agreement negotiated between buyer and producer: shipping may be handled by each of the two parties.
At Exporium, we do not impose procedures but we give the possibility to find the best agreement between you and your counterparty.
If you need support in finding a shipping and logistics partner, we will do our best to help.

How to pay for deals?
You can pay for the trade you have agreed with a counterparty via bank transfer: you will not pay directly to the seller but you will transfer the money to Exporium that will store the money for you, via our partner, waiting for the trade to happen. So you will have the peace of mind to know exactly where your money is and when it will be transferred.

Whether you are a buyer or a seller, Exporium gives you the chance to start a negotiation at any time, as soon as you have passed the screening process. You can search our marketplace for new partners and start creating your own network.

What is a KYC?
KYC stands for Know Your Customer and entails the whole verification process of your users. This process is part of European anti-money laundering regulation which requires institutions to make sure that money transacting through their system has been acquired and distributed legally. We complete this process through our partners to make sure that the counterparties you deal with are reliable and real.

How long does it take for user verification (KYC) documents to be validated?
We aim to complete the review of the documents within 48 working hours after submission but this can take up to 5 working days.

What are the reasons for a document rejection?
There are a few reasons why we might reject a document: it can be incomplete, unreadable, expired, missing, falsified, it could be of a different category, it might not match the user data or it might belong to a minor user.
In any case, we will contact you to get more information and give you the chance to rectify what is missing.

What languages are accepted for KYC documents?
Verification documents (KYC) must be submitted in one of the following languages: French, English, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese.
If a document is not available in one of the above languages, an official translation in English will be required.

Can I change my company name?
You cannot update your company name through your profile. If your name or any other detail has changed, please get in touch with us at
